Baruch

When we're in the area, by Gramercy Park in Manhattan, we marvel at the architectural friezes on Baruch College's 23rd Street building. By HP Camden, the sculptures represent the muscular figuration of the late 20's through 40's and the WPA inclination toward narratives of idealized vocation- industrial or agricultural. The stylized figures are modernist yet classical.
