Full of Air

While running errands this weekend in Keene, NH we saw some balloons at a local car dealership that stopped us in our tracks. Their light, fresh movement seemed to encapsulate the freedom of a bright, sunny day. Below, this feeling is brought inside though rooms that are bright, bold and certainly whimsical.

Sparrow

Looking to shoot some "Spring is Coming" photos yesterday, we happened upon a little sparrow at the playground and a group silhouetted in the branches of a tree. Inspired by what we shot, here's what we found:

Ripple Effect

We passed a boarded construction site in Soho a few months back that was plastered with black and white images of sports stars from the seventies. We were intrigued by the contradiction of how dated the imagery was, but once photographed with the ripples of paste on paper, how ironic and modern they seemed--the ultimate physical specimens of their day left to weather and wrinkle, perpetually still. Melissa Cooke's brilliant Vacuum drawings are contrary in the opposite way--still images capturing the tension of a moment, a frozen action that begs release.
