High Art, Low Places: Part I
We've been talking about the imaginative installations in the subway system for a while now and wanted to share some our favorites in a series. Part I shows Janet Zweig's "Carrying On" at the Prince Street station, NYC. Made of waterjet-cut steel, marble and slate, these lilliputian friezes are silhouettes of actual New Yorker's carrying everyday objects.
