The Quaint Castle...Antique Stone Architecture

Our 4th of July road trip through New England and upstate New York was an education in regional architecture styles and local building materials. While the stone houses in Buck's County, PA are favorites, we were truly in awe of the grey granite homes of Vermont and northern New York. The colors are cool as ash and the constructs elegantly prove that a man's home is truly his castle.

This is one of the most beautiful houses we've ever seen! Owned by an architect in Essex, NY who specializes in historic restorations.
