Ornament

A walk down 81st Street on the Upper West Side reminds us that there was an age of craftsmanship and artistry in construction- decorative reliefs and architectural details decorate its turn of the century brownstones and have us trying to imagine what life may have been like then.

Wightwick Manor

We stumbled upon Treasure Hunt, Collections of the National Trust. With photos of Wightwick Manor and the works of Morris, the De Morgans and other notable Arts & Crafts figures, we were once again entranced by the peaceful beauty and palette of the movement.
