We were pleasantly surprised by The Telegraph's article about 20th and 21st century design experts Peter and Charlotte Fiell's home. We always feel slightly hypocritical (we're not sure why) buying and selling modernist, deco and post modern design- while we love and appreciate it, we have a tendency to live with our earlier finds. A walk down 81st Street on the Upper West Side reminds us that there was an age of craftsmanship and artistry in construction- decorative reliefs and architectural details decorate its turn of the century brownstones and have us trying to imagine what life may have been like then.
